EU project to develop and conceive an EU 5-year Communication, Visibility and Public Diplomacy Strategy for Sudan to cover the needs of EU in Sudan to communicate EU core values ans key messages to – Government and diverse Non-State Actors in Sudan.
Coordinator for the organization of a workshop on the “EU Role in Sudan” in the framework of the project “Communication Strategy for the EU in Sudan” within the EC at the European Union Delegation to the Republic of the Sudan (Khartoum).
(2010) Government of South Sudan (GoSS) Institutional Capacity Building
GoSS Public Sector Capacity Building, Juba South Sudan
GoSS project with focus to identification, assessment and development of capacities in Goss Basic Skills Training Programme for GoSS central and state ministries. The mission is implemented within a funding arrangement of capacity building to GoSS by The Joint Donor Trust Fund (JDT) and with a technical funding support by The Capacity Building Trust Fund (CBTF). The basic skills training was focused on fundamental skills such as as English language, writing, office management skills and basic computer/IT skills, organizing, coordinating skills, time management, etc. Civil service basic basic skills context in GoSS and States ministries focused to train staff in skills at staff job positions and not in a generic general course.
(2006-2008) Sudan/Darfur (Fragile State) Post Conflict Governance Institution Capacity Building for Long Term Reconstruction and Development of Darfur.
(Darfur / D-JAM Assessment Programme – African Development Bank/World Bank)
Assessment and study of institutional and governance capacities of key national institutions at central government levels in Khartoum and at local government and traditional authority level in Darfur, with aim to build core peace building skills and capacities in (strategic policy planning, democratic and institutional governance, food security, human resources and skills development, poverty assessment and MDGs, fiscal policy management and decentralised service delivery, civil societies and non-state actors capacities, private sectors partnerships, youth livelihoods, rule of law, public policy accountability, media freedom and freedom of expression).
(2006) Militias Organisation Capacity Building and Livelihood Building
Develop capacities (skills, enterprises) to transform Darfur Militias and Lost Youth to democratic civil organisations able to participate in long term reconstruction and development to support peace in Darfur societies and ethnic communities.
(2004-2005) Sudan (PRSP) Poverty Reduction Capacity Building Programme
African Development Bank (AfDB)
Senior Capacity Building Consultant to design and develop National PRSP (Poverty Reduction Assessment Framework), in collaboration with AfDB, Sudan Ministry of Finance, Sudan Key National Ministries and Institutes, Civil Society Organisations, Private Sectors and Media, Research, Professional, Religious and Community Organisations, and in collaboration with Sudan Central Government and SPLM Administration in South Sudan. Key PRSP components included gender equity, legal issues and capacity building in key Sudan national governing institutions, as well as to support initiatives across the social development delivery sector, at national, state, local government levels, in sectors such as poverty reduction, governance, health, housing, water and sanitation, education, private sectors, enterprise and micro-finance, environment, energy, capacity building, gender development, civil society development, youth development, and in particular, local government governance decentralization, civil societies communities participation and services delivery.

Programme Focus

Programme Implementation (1994-2008)
The Programme was funded by The Netherlands Government (1994-2008) in SADC Region, based on skills and capacity transfer by University of Twente, The Netherlands to SADC Regional Institutes. The programme was implemented in three phases 1994/1997; 2000/2003; 2004/2008 for participants from SADC regional institutes, ministries of energy, private sector and civil society actors. The programme focused as long term technical cooperation capacity building programme in SADC renewable energy and environment policy planning and implementation and partners collaboration;
